So, my sister sends me one little link, about dressmaking, which I don’t even do, and it leads to a flurry of wonderfulness.
It turns out that March 4 is National Gramm<strike>e</strike>ar Day as hosted by the Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar (SPOGG)
which I came to via:
Dictionary Evangelist, who has her own campaign going on for the semicolon.
She also masquerades as A Dress A Day, which proves that creativity and good writing will aways keep me coming back for more. There are all kinds of avenues to wander down at that site, for the fabricly inclined (don’t say I didn’t warn you).
And somewhere in there I opened up a tab to this lovely little piece of folk history about a silly secret society, the Turtles.
And that, my friends, is why it’s called the Web.
I wonder where that first page would have taken you?
